Since launching on 29 April, This Is Our Health has continued to engage with people, communities and organisations across Northern Ireland, with participation now exceeding 8,000 responses.

Recent weeks have included significant public engagement at Tedberry Market and the Foyle Maritime Festival, where the team spent six days speaking directly with members of the public about their experiences of health and social care and encouraging people to take part in the conversation.

Engagement has also continued through local government, community and voluntary sector networks, including the Joint Forum and work with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council partners.

Targeted outreach has taken place with groups whose voices are often less frequently heard, including a Homeless Connect webinar and a presentation with ARC NI. Follow-up activity has included providing paper surveys, information materials and community packs to support local discussions and participation.

A significant partnership has also been developed with Libraries NI, with community engagement packs distributed to all 96 library locations across Northern Ireland. Work is continuing with Libraries NI to support local engagement activity in libraries and make it easier for people to take part in the conversation.

The Mayor of Derry also visited the This Is Our Health stand at the Foyle Maritime Festival, helping to promote the conversation and encourage participation among festival attendees.

Monitoring suggests people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences are taking part in the conversation.
